There are 29 million slaves in the world today

This website is an introduction to sex trafficking for educators, parents and community leaders. It includes information, videos, organizations and solutions towards eradication. Learn how you can play a part in combating this evil crime against innocent children and adults.

DEFINITION:

Human trafficking is the dislocation of someone by deception or coercion for exploitation, through forced prostitution, forced labour, or other forms of slavery

THE PROBLEM:

The slave trade is prohibited under Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, yet the modern-day slave trade that is human trafficking is the fastest-growing form of organized crime.

It is estimated that two children per minute are trafficked for sexual exploitation.

UNICEF believes this amounts to an estimated 1.2 million children trafficked every year.

Human trafficking generates between 10 and 12 billion dollars a year.
