One of the main HL Topics is that of artificial intelligence.Expert systems are computer systems that make decisions based on the input expertise of a human. They can solve very simple as well as very complex problems by reasoning through expert knowledge using if–then rules. The 11th grade students designed and developed very simple expert systems as part of their CAL work this term. They were allowed to use any application they chose. You can view and interact with some of the examples below.
The 11th Grade ITGS Students study artificial neural networks as part of the Artificial Intelligence component for the Higher Level Course. Every year we build a rudimentary neural network using A Brain in a Bag activity with ropes, cards and tubes. As we were not in school this year the students built their neural networks using redstone, switches, and more. It was up to them in teams of two to fins a way to demonstrate a synapse. The images below demonstrate their Constructions.
