With the development of the Internet a phenomenon known as 'electronic commerce' or 'ecommerce' for short, has been growing.
Ecommerce has now grown to such an extent that it is starting to become the way to shop for many people.

INVESTIGATING AN E-COMMERCE SITE
Shortly you are going to have a look at the e-commerce site of the UK’s largest food retailer.
Before you visit the site, have a think about what sort of things you would expect to see for sale there.
1. Create a word document and make a list of some of the main categories of items that you think you will find.
2. Once you have completed your list, visit www.tesco.co.uk Have a good look at the home page – there are a great many things for sale.
