Students were asked to design a 360 degree virtual reality experience that conveyed a message about how to make our world a better place. To view these experiences you will need to download the image and then open it in Panoform. The experiences can be viewed on a screen ( non immersive) or using 3d googles/viewers.

As part of our current mini unit on how computers work, we have been exploring binary, bits, as well as input and output. This week the 6th grade students have had the opportunity to take their understanding further by building on the coding and skills and understanding of bits, input and output with MicroBit MakeCode. After a brief introduction they set off to build creations using coding blocks, creating images and text messages LED screens and strings, as well as musical compositions. Many chose Christmas themes as we are just over a week away from the upcoming holiday.
We have shared a selection of projects below. Please click on the buttons to play them. The images of the code they used have been placed below their names.
The 6th grade students have been learning more about digital literacy this CAL period. They have engaged in research, discussion, practical work, designed and created surveys, collected and analysed data in spreadsheets and have applied their understanding of important digital literacy concepts by designing and developing their own posters using Google Slides and/or Drawings.
