College Recruiting Information

                    Recruiting: NOTHING IS GIVEN, EVERYTHING IS EARNED

Registering: Students must register with NCCA Eligibility Center in order to be considered for playing college sports. NCAA registration should be done during or prior to Junior Year.  Here is the link with all the information on how to get registered:

When registering for the NCAA Eligibility Center, you will need to have

        i) Email Address you check regularly for information

        ii) Education History with all high schools attended and the dates you attended them

        iii) Transcript of grades with overall GPA and core GPA. Core GPA only includes math, science, english and social studies classes. Also need details pertaining to any coursework you took in addition to normal high school experience of classes taken to improve a grade, summer school courses at location other than home high school, college courses or online courses. 

        iv) Sports participation history includes details for any teams you have practices or played or certain events in which you may have participated as well as information about any individuals that have advised you or marketed your sills in a particular sport. 

        v) Payment. Some individuals may qualify to apply for a fee waiver. 

All players must know their

      * Overall GPA to 3 decimal points

      * Core GPA to 3 decimal points

      * ACT score or the date that it will be taken

Our Skyline Coaching Staff will work very hard with each family to find a college for any player who wishes to play basketball at the next level.  Please let us know if this is your families intention.  College coaches can not initiate contact with any player until after their Sophomore year in June but players and their families can initiate contact with colleges of their choice that they are pursuingThe recruiting process requires that families are diligent toward communicating with colleges they are interested in attending.

Here are some basics that need to be addressed in recruiting:

1) Playing basketball at the college level is demanding and only players who love the game and love to be in the gym at all times should consider it. Grades are extremely important and you must be eligible to enter into college.
