Skyline High School started in the fall of 2008 with only a freshmen class.
In the first season of Skyline Boys Basketball, the all freshmen team finished 17-5. Included in this mostly freshmen schedule was an entrance into the Class C State Tournament at Whitmore Lake High School. In historic fashion, the Skyline ALL Freshmen team pulled off the impossible with their first ever varsity win over the East Jackson varsity team with a final score 91-80. The 91 point total remains the game high score even to date of any game. Skyline lost the 2nd ever varsity contest in a round two game to Michigan Center.
