Our Band Programs are the titleholders for most of Eastern Region top competitions including the Eastern Region Cadets Music Festival (ERCMF) in Pipes & Drums, Brass & Reed, small ensembles, soloists, choreography, drum lines, Jazz Band, etc., and one of the Provincial Bands Drill choreography competition Top Bands over the past years.

What are the openings on?

Brass & Reed: Flute, Oboe, Clarinets, Saxophones, Trumpet, French horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Percussions.

Pipes & Drums: Bagpipes, Highland Snare, Tenor Drum, Bass Drum.

Highland Dancing: Dancers (we need both male and female performers!)

 

What do we offer at the 75 & 742 Band Programs?

For all cadets, with or without some level of music experience, who would like to become cadet musicians / Highland Dancers.


Rehearsal Schedule for our Band Programs (see calendar)

 

Location for our in-person rehearsals:

Brass & Reeds and Pipes & Drums

Hangar 16 (Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces) located at the corner of Paul Benoît Driveway (formerly Canadair Drive) and Spitfire Private, close to the Ottawa International Airport. This Hangar is also on your left as you drive toward the 742 Squadron’s Hangar (Canada Reception Centre).

Highland Dancing Team: Training will be either at the Lead Instructor Studio Sherry’s School of Highland Dance, or at the Central Band Hangar (see direction above).

JOIN US! The 75 & 742 Band Programs allow cadets to be introduced to the music world. Our focuses are the development of a junior and senior military-style Band Programs with Brass & Reed, Pipes & Drums, Highland Dancing, as well as percussion ensembles!
