We're back in September - New & Returning Cadets!
Details for our regular training, activities and events can be found on the Calendar details.
Please see the calendar weekly entries for details on:
Sept 4 - New cadet registration and planning for qualified level 4+ only (no training for level 1-4)
Sept 11 - Sports night and BBQ for all registered cadets at MFRC (ends at 8 pm)
Sept 18 - Training night for returning cadets only
Sept 25 - Training night for all cadets
Important: Every year, returning cadets must complete their Annual Validation Forms and detailed medical verifications (where required). All parents/guardians of returning cadets will receive an email with the forms, which must be printed, signed, and returned. Failure to return this will prevent cadets from participating in training/activities.
All registered cadets are encouraged to sign up for this important fundraising community visibility day. Cadets can earn volunteer hours for school, and participation to these events will help with summer training selection for 2026 and their level proficiency.

The region has decided that biathlon will be held as a running and shooting activity for the upcoming year (no winter biathlon). Cadets must be training (running) on their own for September, and are welcome to join the open workout on October 8. Cadets must attend at least one of the tryout dates: Oct 15 and 25.
We will offer a Nordic Ski Club as a separate optional activity, as we have some cross-country ski equipment available to lend out for the winter to those wishing to join us.
Cadets who are interested in applying for the Glider or Power Pilot Training Courses must read the linked requirements and fill out the interest form by Sept 29, 2025. Note that the process involves 40 hours of ground school and an entrance exam.
Cadets who do not yet meet eligibility requirements (levels 1 and 2, under 15, or those not intending to apply but are interested in aviation) are invited to join general ground school later this year.
Activities are made possible from the support and generous contributions by our community. Please consider supporting 742 through the United Way Campaign (GCWCC), FlipGive, Canadahelps.org, or directly to our charity number is 123613523 RR 0029.
