For all other summer training courses and staff cadet applications: Only selected cadets will be notified accordingly via email in April-May. Due to a limited amount of summer training positions available, cadets are selected on a merit-basis.

Overview of Summer 2024 training
Cadet Training Centre (CTC) Training - IN-PERSON: Courses offered to cadets who have completed their second year of training, or higher, hosted at Cadet Training Centres (CTC). Courses range in length from 2-7 weeks and take place at CTC locations across the country.

Technology and Digital Learning Centre (TDLC) - ONLINE: Summer 2024 will continue to leverage digital learning, using the TLDC to deliver e-learning courses to cadets from across the country.
Staff Cadet Opportunities: Cadets sixteen and older (level 4 & 5 cadets) may apply for positions as staff cadets at either CTCs or the TDLC in a variety of positions. Intent application form is due NLT 25 Feb 2024 (see below).
National Cadet Advisory Council (NCAC): In 2024, the NCAC will be hosted by the Commander, Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers Group, at two CTCs, over a six-week training period. This group will provide the opportunity for the Commander and senior staff at the headquarters to engage directly with a group of senior cadets from across the country on a variety of cadet program related topics.

Important reminder - Access to Cadet365:
In-person CTC Courses: Cadets attending an in-person course will require their Cadet365 Credentials to use the Computer Lab (to access Internet), therefore they also need to connect and complete the Cyber Awareness Course at least 2 weeks before arriving at the CTC.
TDLC (eLearning) Courses: Cadets will require their Cadet365 Credentials - see additional requirements below.
Staff Cadets: All Staff Cadets should have active Cadet365 accounts and complete the Cyber Awareness Course at least 2 weeks before they begin their training.

Course eligibility criteria ranges from level 2-5 qualified.

Technology and Digital Learning Centre (TDLC) - eLearning courses (online)
Dynamic and critical eLearning courses to cadets from across the country through the TDLC. All courses are delivered through a combination of engaging online self-led asynchronous and facilitator-led synchronous activities. Cadets need access to their Cadet365 Accounts this summer for eLearning courses.
Training delivered through the TDLC occurs during weekdays and takes approximately 4 hours per day. Most of the schedule is flexible to allow a strong course/life balance for cadets.
Course eligibility criteria ranges from level 3-5 qualified.

Cadets attending the TLDC require:
Laptop/computer
Stable Internet connection
Webcam and microphone
Active Cadet365 account
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
Staff Cadet 2024 - Intention Application Form
Level 4 & 5 cadets interested in applying for a Staff Cadet position for Summer 2024 are invited to submit their intent by completing the form below. This does not guarantee selection. Selected cadets will be notified accordingly via email.
Eligibility Criteria:
You must be 16 years of age before the first day of work and must not reach your 19th birthday before the last day of work.
Will have completed Level 4 training by the end of the current training year.
DEADLINE: Sunday 25 February 2024 at 11:59 PM.
