Presented our sonnets :)

Received a handout about the criteria of the Shakespearean Tragedy with some vocab on it---You will be tested on this material next week (come and see Mr. J or Ms. Scott for this if you were absent today)

Thursday

Homework:

  • Practice your sonnet presentation for tomorrow
  • Turn in any late work

Today we:

  • got into groups for our dramatic readings of Sonnets
  • practiced our lines

Criteria

  • creativity in interpretation (10 points)
  • overall readings of the lines is smooth (10 points)
  • performance is engaging to the audience (10 points)

•Listened to a reading of sonnet 18

•Read it for ourselves. Highlighting it for rhyme scheme and themes.

•Analyzed it and discussed it

•Did a worksheet to accompany it

•Watched a YouTube video that analyzed it
