  • Late work? Get it done this weekend. FINAL CUT OFF DATE for weeks 4 and 5 is next THURSDAY!

  • Check out these articles! Do we need language in order to have complex thoughts?
  • Turn in Article on Scientists Restoring Function on Dead Pig Brains if you didn't do so today

Wednesday

April 24

Today we:

  • Turned in Renaissance packets and returned books
  • Received Project Nim study guide for taking notes
  • Watched 40 min of Project Nim with discussion at the end (will continue this video tomorrow---if you are not here tomorrow, YOU are responsible for watching it--it is attached here! (I attached two links to the movie...pick one that works for you)

Homework:

  • Turn in late work tomorrow
  • Start on Project Nim questions tonight. 5 questions to be answered (look at Proj. Nim Packet for criteria) TYPED and PRINTED and turned in BY Friday!
  • We will only spend about 7 minutes on the article from yesterday---"Scientists restore Function to Bains of Dead Pigs" and turn it in with answers completed. Do this tonight if you can!!!

Tuesday April 23

Today we:

  • Turned in Renaissance packet 1-11 to get checked and got it back
  • Discussed packet a bit
  • Handout: Pig Brains --Read in class, answered questions, and discussed (Handout questions on back turned in)

  • COMPLETE the Renaissance Packet---due tomorrow

Monday April 22

Today we:

  • Turned in packet, completed, for Animals in the Middle Ages
  • Went over exemplary student persuasive essays and analyzed the components of an effective persuasive essay
  • Received "Pet" essays back------analyzed them and wrote a self-reflection of the quality of our essay and turned it in...(what we did wrong in the essay, what we need to work on, what we consistently keep doing incorrectly in an essay, etc)
  • Received Animals in the Renaissance packet and began it in class

Homework:

  • Complete 1-11 in Animals During the Renaissance. Thorough answers. Due tomorrow!
