The student learning journey is made up two stages, the "inner circle" which covers the fundamentals once completed students have the skills to be a junior software engineer. The "outer circle" focuses on specialisations that students can choose based on their future career goals.
The inner circle consists of 21 practical projects and 5 exams.
These projects vary from creating your own libraries, creating your own games to learning new languages!
It features 7 rings designed to take you through the fundamentals of programming and computer literacy in increasing difficulty.
Ranks are represented as concentric circles, one circle per ring. Starting from the innermost circle, you must validate all the projects of a ring before you can proceed to the next one.
There are 2 exceptions: you can choose between 2 projects in ring 02 and ring 05. The projects within a ring can be solved in any order and they have no deadline.
You projects are locked behind rings, to access the next ring you must submit a passing grade on all of the projects on the ring prior and pass the exam (if present).
You can retry each project as many times as necessary, as long as you are working within the same ring: once you subscribe to or start working on the projects on the next ring, you cannot go back and resubmit to improve your grade, so please ensure you want to move on.
Your first project is LIBFT. The cursus will keep changing back to the C Piscine until you validate the first project LIBFT
Inner circle lasts 12-18 months, with an option to extend to 2 years.
