Breaking one of our 42 Adelaide community guidelines may result in community service.
Community service is an act of giving back to the 42 Adelaide community and may consist of cleaning workstations, cleaning the kitchen or other services required.
All acts of community service are allocated via the intranet and your access to the systems will be blocked until completed, if it is assigned to you please come and see the Bocal.
Examples of community service are provided below:
Yellow Card
15 - 30 mins of community service
Being absent from an event you have subscribed to
Having any food or drink on your table in a Cluster
Eating or consuming drinks in the Cluster
Not cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen, common area or clusters
Using the jack plug on the iMac rather than a USB port for headphones
Wearing inappropriate clothing
Putting your foot / feet on a chair or table in a cluster
Losing your ID card or FOB
Orange Card
1 hour of community service
Covering or creating a hazard near the emergency exits
Entering/leaving the premises without using your ID card
Being disrespectful towards any member of the 42 community or visitors
Being in school when your account is suspended
Logging in to an iMac that is not in use
Rebooting an iMac without authorisation
Refusing to follow instructions from the Bocal, the facilities / building manager or a member of the Security team
Using the 42 network to access read or download inappropriate materials
Not adhering to rules during exams (in addition to an immediate fail within an exam)
Red Card Formal
warning or disciplinary action
Entering a prohibited area within the building
Allowing a visitor to enter the building or 42 Adelaide campus without prior approval from the 42 Bocal
Identity theft
Using threatening, abusive or harassing actions to anyone
Engaging in acts of physical violence or sexual in nature
Engaging in acts of vandalism and / or theft
Seeking to gain an unfair advantage or cheating
Smoking inside the building or anywhere within the facility
Failure to complete an allocated community service task
Entering the building under the influence of alcohol/drugs
If you are given community service, you will be required to do a number of tasks allocated to you by the Bocal. The tasks can be decided by bocal or the community service wheel. These activities will be allocated to you through the intranet.
