Since the term “app” is used commonly to reference anything on the phone we cannot always assume they are using the app.
Our mobile website was designed to look very similar to the app. How to find out?
o Ask if customer is using the app or mobile browser.
o Have Customer provide Screenshots.
o Is there a URL bar at the top or toolbar at the bottom?
o Tab bar. Icons are solid in app vs outlined on mobile web.
The Fandango apps are a “hybrid” of native components and webviews.
A “webview” allows us to show content from the web directly in the app.
Any screen after you tap a showtime button is a “webview”.
Anything with the page title “Buy Tickets” is a webview. This includes the Number of Tickets screen, seat picker, payment selector, review order and confirmation screens.
The purchase flow for Gift Card is a webview hosted by a 3rd party.
Go to App Store or Play Store to see if “Update” button is available.
App version:
o iOS v8.9 and greater.
o Android 8.8.1 and greater
Supported Device OS:
o iOS 10 and greater.
o Android 5.0 and greater.
o Use mobile web if OS is not supported
If you see a showtime issue in the app.
o Confirm that it happens on another device. Desktop, Mobile Web or app.
o This can help determine if what you are dealing with is a global issue or specific to that device.
If a user is having an issue with retrieving their ticket, favorite movie or theaters, try signing out / back in to account.
If the APP is freezing/not loading – have the Customer sign-in/sign-out
