BRAKES / MANUAL DRIVE TRAIN (Semester 1) - Grades 9-12
The student will learn to diagnose and repair drum and disc brake systems. Also covered will be diagnosing and repairing the entire hydraulic brake system, which will include the master cylinder, lines, proportioning valves and stop light operation. The student will learn to diagnose and repair power assist units. Finally, this course will cover diagnosis and service of wheel bearings, to include how to replace bearings and races, as well as clean, repack and adjust wheel bearing preload.

SUSPENSION AND STEERING (Semester 2) - Grades 9-12
In this course the student will learn the design, operation, and repair of vehicle steering and suspension systems. This will include two and four-wheel alignment on conventional and McPherson strut suspension systems, tire balance and service. This course meets all applicable National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) standards.

AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS / HVAC (Semester 1) - Grades 9-12
This course prepares individuals to engage in the diagnosis and repair of electrical/electronic systems. Instruction will include units on general electrical system diagnosis and service.

ENGINE PERFORMANCE / ENGINE REPAIR (Semester 2) - Grades 9-12
In this course the student will learn the theory, operation, and diagnosis of vehicle ignition and emission control systems. This includes catalytic converters, and computer-controlled ignition systems. This course meets all applicable National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) standards.

CAREER PRACTICUM - T&I TRANSPORTATION, DISTRIBUTION, AND LOGISTICS - Grades 11-12
Career Practicum is a paid or unpaid experience designed to assist students in grades 11 - 12 in their specific CTE program of study. A student must be at least 16 years of age. The student must have completed at least Level 1 and Level 2 courses in a chosen CTE program of study to be eligible for this course, and the job duties must align to this program of study.
