Hello pack

PACK Taiwan

PACK, the dog shelter, is also known as Pack Taiwan (People for Animal Care and Kindness). In the beginning, their rescue care range included: dogs, cats, ducks, sheep, pigs...etc. Then, in 2016, PACK was officially registered as a non-governmental and non-profit organization. In 2017, with the revision of the Animal Protection Law prohibiting euthanasia of stray animals, the focus of the service gradually shifted to reducing the number of Taiwanese stray dogs. Now, PACK is committed to providing a high-quality environment for the dog and doing its best to provide the dog with a happy and fulfilling life. PACK actively promotes Taiwanese society's acceptance of stray dogs, and at the same time encourages the public to contribute to the strays by adopting, serving as part-timers, and donating money. Additionally, PACK also created a shelter for abandoned, underappreciated and even disabled animals. This shelter includes some unique features for dog care.

First of all, they set up different living spaces to take care of dogs of different personalities, ages, or need special care. Such as long-term care areas, gardens, and separate kennels. At the same time, they also have plenty of space, which can reduce the dog's stress.

Next, they set up the PACK Preparatory School. The purpose is to help dogs better adapt to life after being adopted, and also allow them to better integrate into their new home. At the same time, people can also use this to find dogs who are ready to enter family life, effectively assisting more dogs to find their permanent homes, and further relocate stray dogs still on the streets to the PACK Park. In addition, they can also observe and record the personality and behavior of the trainee dogs, build a complete file, and then match the dog with the most suitable home for them. It also imparts correct information and knowledge to trainee dogs and their adopters, building mutual trust. (by Yvette)
