We appreciate our 3rd Grade teachers for sharing their memories with us. We are sharing them with you.

Mrs.Flodine-I will always remember Mr. Nash as the first person who welcomed me to Richland when I joined the Richland family. His warm smile made me feel welcomed and happy to be here. He is such an amazing person and his students were so lucky to have him. Mr. Nash has a special way of teaching what is most important, and that is how to be a good, kind-hearted human. He has touched so many lives and I am certain that his students will continue to share his message of kindness and love to all, and the world will be better for it. We will miss you, Mr. Nash! Enjoy your newly found free time knowing that you have made a difference to so many.

Ms.Alpert- Mr.Nash has a heart of gold! He is a genuine guy who truly cares about those around him. He's great at making connections with students, and the 3rd grade team is going to miss him!

Mrs.Faulkner- Mr. Nash has a heart of gold. His "Outside of the Box" thinking and caring nature will truly be missed.

Mr.Clay- I first met Mr. Nash years ago when I worked at San Marcos Elementary. He was a first year teacher and his job was teaching PE. One memory I have of him was that it was the day of the district track meet. Mr. Nash brought in a couple of camp stoves and made omelettes for the runners. He made sure they ate a good breakfast that day and our track team performed better than ever.

When I transferred to Richland School, I got to know Mr. Nash in a new way. He was a fourth grade teacher and I enjoyed eating lunch with him on a daily basis. He was a particular neat and healthy eater, and had his food separated into little cups. I loved bugging him about his specimen cup lunches.

Mr. Nash was a popular person at Richland as well as in the San Marcos community. He had great connections with children and did interesting projects with them. He did multiple science projects, social studies projects and even had the children write to the President. His balloon derby was famous in the neighborhood.

Gary Nash was a great athlete and played in many nighttime softball leagues. He has amazing speed and could outrun most kids. He met several Richland parents through activities and was a good spokesman for our school. Gary is a great guy who brought a unique style of teaching. He was always there for the students and helped them learn and grow. He discussed social issues and gave them different outlooks on how to see the world.

Mr. Nash was also in the Coast guard and is responsible for saving countless lives. He has dedicated his life serving the people of the United States and the children of San Marcos. He is a great man in my opinion and I myself have learned many things from him as well.

God Bless You Mr. Nash...Enjoy your retirement...you deserve it !
