Meet Our Cafeteria Staff

We Mustangs want to show our appreciation and gratitude to the wonderful cafeteria staff, who have worked tirelessly through this pandemic to keep us healthy. They have taken off one concern from our parents/guardians' minds, to keep us fed and healthy. We cannot thank them enough for all they have done for the Richland community. Our sincerest tip of the hat to Mr.Moises, Ms.Mock, Ms.Lourdes, Ms.Judy, Ms.Santos, Ms.Mercado, Ms. Victoria, Ms. Le, and Ms. Ana.
For the first “Meet the Staff” interview, we decided to talk to Ms.Amanda Mercado. She has been part of the Richland CNS (Child Nutrition Service) for 2 years and has been motivated by the amazing students of Richland who she can't wait to see again! The full interview follows below.
TMC: Tell us a little bit about yourself. How long have you been working at Richland?
Ms. Amanda: I have been at Richland for almost 2 years now.
TMC: During the past year, you have worked tirelessly. We are really grateful to you. At any time during the pandemic were you scared? What kept you motivated?
Ms. Amanda: Absolutely, It's hard to deal with something at first you know nothing about. Of course, our students have kept us motivated. In all the craziness I feel it was important for the students to see us and be a staple and also we could help out so that everyone had something to eat.
TMC: What do you like most about working at Richland?
Ms. Amanda: I enjoy the students the most but I have noticed how amazing and positive our leadership is here.
TMC: What is one thing that you want to say to the Mustangs?
Ms. Amanda: I think you are all amazing and I look forward to seeing you next year!!
