Shadow Productions
Shadow productions provide students the ability to represent the story and key non human characters in Indigenous stories. Shadow as a medium helps to prevent issues of cultural appropriation as characters are more focused on shapes and movement instead of using culture as a character.
This is an example of a production the students created after adapting stories from an Indigenous Star Story book.
Students created a variety of props to represent important objects and characters, in order to visually represent their story.

Practical performance experience
Overall, this assignment was enjoyed by students both for the unique technical elements it used and the comfort for students to perform in a way in which they can get comfortable with the vulnerability of performance. I have included the assessment I used to mark this assignment, as it align to the drama curriculum standards.
