Something had to be done.

And I'm not even sure where this will take me.

Well I still promised to not do events until I'm ready, at least for the first quarter of 2021.... or should I?

Everything was going well with my life back then, so I decided to give in.

To what would become the beginning of an event chain that happened this year.

In an attempt to kill the boredom, I went to the point of even considering doing at least one more event. But I was willing to wait until the time was right, so I initially would go instead for an hiatus as a more practical option. But part of me said that I wanted to do one already! So, until the hiatus takes effect, I decided to do one when we get an ONF comeback announcement —

Wait a minute.

We received a memo from WM Entertainment on the 3rd of February - it was the announcement of an ONF comeback! They were returning with their first full album, My Name, to drop on February 24.

And why not? An event idea was conceived out of the long-unimplemented Lumiere follow-up, now BE:tact 2021, which the boys co-headlined for the very first time along with BTS, who were having a late promotion for their album BE. It was the event in the making since early 2020, and it was supposed to happen in November last year but pushed back due to realignment. As its final iteration, however, most of the work was done in only less than a month.

With this decision I was afraid of it becoming another forever.21 situation. I had so many doubts continuing with the event. It wasn't even the right time! But I was hoping that it will pay off in the end. And it did! I realized that it would be better off doing that event in February than in any other time. I had a job, and I also had a lot of time for myself. Most importantly, I had enough time to work on the event without interruption. I think that was what went wrong with the previous events. I had to sacrifice working on one in an ill-timed era or when everything had to be very critical only because it aligned to a headliner's release.

I guess I was lucky to have BE:tact 2021 scheduled on February. It went on well without any bad instances, and it was successful, despite failing to achieve its intended external activity. This is because of its conversion from an annual initiative into an infinitely running event project. I'm blessed to have come up with a creative idea to make an event flexible - something that would cater to my situation's ever changing needs.

That was the intention.. that never came to reality. So far.
