Geo Challenge

EVERYONE LOVES A GOOD MAP. WE'D BE LOST WITHOUT THEM!

In order to prepare for our unit on the Maya, Aztecs, and Incas, we need to make sure we understand the geography of both Central and South America.

Your task is to color and label the blank map using a collection of maps from the Nat Geo atlas. You will then answer the questions on your "Geo Challenge: Get Your Map On" worksheet. Remember to read the questions carefully and to write complete answers!

If you are a GEO MASTER and finish the Geo Challenge early, here are some GEO GAMES for you to try out!

This site has many geography games. To learn your South American countries, you can choose World Countries. In Options, you can just select your continent of choice (e.g. South America)

This site challenges you to click on the correct South American country as it is listed.

This site challenges you to drag and drop each South American country onto the map. Choose "Countries, Easy" for a map of South America including country borders. If you are an expert, choose "Countries, Hard" for a blank map of South America.
