Reasons: LGBTQIA+, Language
This YA novel about a young lesbian’s coming of age was removed from the summer reading list of a high school in Delaware “ostensibly because it contains profanity, even though other books on the summer reading list contain similar language” (O'Neil, 2014). After advocates complained, it was reinstated the next year.
