According to the ACLU of Massachussetts, The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison has been the target of censorship for the cited reasons of containing “depictions of violence and sexual abuse," while others claim that this book has actually been targeted for censorship because of a widespread attempt to ban "Critical Race Theory" in schools.
