According to the ACLU of Massachussetts, Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison has been the target of censorship for the cited reasons of containing “inappropriate and language and sex scenes." Others claim that books by Morrison (like The Bluest Eye) are actually been targeted for censorship because of a widespread attempt to ban "Critical Race Theory" in schools.
