Forest comes to the city

Representatives of citizen initiative "Protect Zvezdara forest", in the presence of media, have submitted request for changes in urbanistic plan for detailed regulation of Zvezdara forest, to the members of City council.We expect that the plan will be changed in order to protect the forest as a whole, and preserve health of Belgrade citizens and rare species.Many citizens of Belgrade and Serbia, foreign and domestic ecological associations and organizations, representatives of the media and even mayor of Belgrade have stated their support for the Zvezdara forest.Together with the request an acorn from the mighty oaks of Zvezdara forest with the instructions for planting, were given to every member of the City council, deputy mayor and president of city hall.
