2020 - My 'In The Hood' project
This project started off from some leftover white cotton fabric....the question what could I do with it, so it is not wasted?
I thought of a nightshirt. I also had some interesting 'hairy' braid (probably not quite the right term), so Red Riding Hood's Grandmother became the concept.
What had happened to it, her environment and such like.
This is what I created
Initially it was just Grandmother, then I remembered I had a heap of red nylon. Let's get it made up!

The 3rd piece developed from my 'Mask' blog, a minecraft wolf and the role he played in the fairy tale.
Could he be saved from this life?
I have just discovered Angela Carter's brilliant short story 'The Company of Wolves'. Read it in the below link to a pdf containing the story, and the second link is a highly informative and thought-provoking essay regard 'The Company of Wolves', and two others that share a similar theme. Fascinating.
