Traveling super light, without a bag. A bold experiment?

My trip with all the gear in a multi pocket vest - no bag.

What is it they carry in their back packs that I don't have?

When I was testing my "Tropical Travel Ultra Light Gear, 250 grams. No bag!" I traveled with a friend and took the opportunity to compare some parts of our luggage. His medical kit weighed 800 grams, 29 oz, mine, 10 grams, .3 oz, two items, disinfectant and aspirin. His photo kit weighed...

"In my wilder moments I dream of a 'no bag' future where I travel wearing everything including all my technology in a fly fishing style jacket including all my extra clothing neatly hidden inside my top coat. The basis being that the airlines measure and weigh bags but not people. But that is something for the future."
I think the future is here now.  If not, I think my "Unorthodox way of reducing volume of gear like camera, phone, computers etc." can make the difference.

Google Sites is excellent but have some minor problems

This is a Google Site. I have some problems completely saving changes. I can't (yet) control tables widths and line spacing. And a bit more.

That said, Google Sites is excellent! I can work on home pages in Internet cafes on the road. I just open the page and edit.
Previously I needed an Internet cafe computer with MS Front Page installed. That is rare. Sometimes I managed to get it installed before I moved on. Then I had to transfer the page to a friend who put it on my homepage.

Features of super cool Umbrella/Parasol, near Zero Radiation. Efficient Hand Fan for hot weather.

I think this report is for you who seriously want to be cooler when traveling or were you live

If your discomfort from temperature is extreme you may have to cancel your outdoor plans. You can increase your temperature tolerance upwards with accessories.

The average umbrella, as I know it, is some 20 - 50 % effective.
This umbrella is coming close to 100% heat and UV protection.

 Contents

1.      Very low radiation parasol/umbrella keeps you much cooler. Is a excellent shield for solar heat, UV rays

2.      Didn’t bring the umbrella? Free excellent substitution for parasol/umbrella as a sun shield

3.      A hand fan can make the difference between feeling miserably hot and being comfortable. Fan your back also

4.      How to carry hand fan and other outsize objects not visible/visible

5.      Technique: How to position the parasol with respect to your body for maximum wind cooling and shadow. What’s wrong with this or a hat

6.      Technique: With a headwind you can create a cooling airflow on your back with the parasol/umbrella

7.      I tried to make a more compact umbrella

Something wrong with this arrangement or a hat?

Technically a good idea for very hot weather?
Can you find some 4 draw backs?
Good to know when you buy umbrella/parasol or if you plan to use a hat for hot weather. See the Report.

Too hot?

You can get uncomfortably hot. Or you can get a life threatening heat or sun stroke. Risks are higher for old citizens.

An umbrella and/or a fan, of the right kind, can keep you cooler.

The sun radiates up to 1000 W of energy onto your body. Some of it is luckily naturally reflected - otherwise you would be grilled. But it is wise to keep as much as possible off the body.

Special umbrella

An umbrella shades you from the warming rays of the sun. It also stops UV rays.

The average umbrella I would say lets through some 50 % of these radiations.

I have a modified umbrella which eliminates most of these drawbacks. It is almost as good as an umbrella can get.

Searching the internet it seems umbrellas of this kind are not yet for sale.

I have listed some 8 important features for design and material.

With a sewing machine and some effort you can make this kind of umbrella or have one made for you.

In Asia there are umbrella repair shops which can help a lot with this kind of work.

Hand Fan

This is an excellent device to keep you cooler. But most fans are too small to be of much use. I explain briefly how I made my big light foldable fan.
