Traveling super light, without a bag. A bold experiment?

My trip with all the gear in a multi pocket vest - no bag.

What is it they carry in their back packs that I don't have?

When I was testing my "Tropical Travel Ultra Light Gear, 250 grams. No bag!" I traveled with a friend and took the opportunity to compare some parts of our luggage. His medical kit weighed 800 grams, 29 oz, mine, 10 grams, .3 oz, two items, disinfectant and aspirin. His photo kit weighed...

"In my wilder moments I dream of a 'no bag' future where I travel wearing everything including all my technology in a fly fishing style jacket including all my extra clothing neatly hidden inside my top coat. The basis being that the airlines measure and weigh bags but not people. But that is something for the future."
I think the future is here now.  If not, I think my "Unorthodox way of reducing volume of gear like camera, phone, computers etc." can make the difference.

Google Sites is excellent but have some minor problems

This is a Google Site. I have some problems completely saving changes. I can't (yet) control tables widths and line spacing. And a bit more.

That said, Google Sites is excellent! I can work on home pages in Internet cafes on the road. I just open the page and edit.
Previously I needed an Internet cafe computer with MS Front Page installed. That is rare. Sometimes I managed to get it installed before I moved on. Then I had to transfer the page to a friend who put it on my homepage.

Do you sleep extra tight when your hotel room door has one of these devices.  I don't without checking it. It sometimes has a serious flaw.

Quite simple zip modification is a challenge for pick pockets?

Use on back pack, day pack, multi pocket vest etc. Works best on zips that have a slide brake which is released when you pull on the zip pull.

Hidden zip opener, mainly for bags. No need for lock or key - lighter and more compact than the smallest pad lock.

Changes are that you will use a shoulder bag. When I did until some years ago I had a hidden secret locking arrangement for the zip. No need for a heavy lock.

You will need to change the present zip or fit the suitable zip on a bag you make.

I have tested it on several friends: "Imagine you are room staff in a hotel and want to open my bag without leaving any tell tale signs, like e.g. cuts." Nobody have managed so far.

Compression bags are really, really great for Ultra Compact Travel. Thickness of garments comes down to a third. Off the shelves bags are too big. Modify to suitable sizes yourself.

When I want to travel without any washing worries I carry extra one pair of trouser and two shirts, apart from the dress I wear. Those extras easily goes into two bags like the one below.

This is a pair of compressed very light trousers. The diagonal of the bag is 16 inches, 40 cm. Maximum thickness 2 inches, 5 cm - easily goes into a big pocket.

Razor blade artist, reality or urban legend?

Searching Internet for "razor blade artists" I found one entry suggesting they don't exist - I can confirm they do.

I have a suggestion for an easy to add guard, to e.g. pockets,  against razor blade artists.

Trouser leg pocket cut by razor blade artist in broad daylight in a not crowded place.  I had a guard on my important pocket - they cut another pocket - you can't trust those guy to get it right when you test a razor blade protected pocket.

Three sets of reversible clothes
On each set an sleeve and a leg is folded up to show the other side.

 Reversible shirts and trousers

Don't want to look like you have only one or two sets of clothes? Go for reversible clothes, different colors/designs on opposite sides.
With one reversible shirt and one pair of reversible trousers you have four different looks. With two of each you have 16 different looks.
With three sets, photo, I think you have 36 different looks.
In the photo one sleeve and one trouser leg has been pulled up so you can see what it looks like on the other side
These are all tailor made but you can find, trousers, shirts, vests etc in Inter
 net shops or in shops.

Are you about to discard clothes?

Think again if you want to travel compact.

A 1 oz, 30 g, compact addition to your wind jacket makes it a good rain protector for hot climates

When it is hot and humid wearing a wind breaker/rain jacket is not good - you get steam boiled.
First choice is an umbrella. Instead I bring a .... which I combine with...
