Red-breasted Sapsucker - McClennan Co., February 27, 1996. One adult at McGregor, McLennan, on 27 February 1996, TBRC#1997-175; TPRF 1586. This represents an amazing first record for Texas. Lockwood and Shackelford (1998) provide details of this unexpected record.
