Stowell Art Gallery

Stowell Galleries was a private collection, open to the public on weekends, by appointment, or for shows. However the business is closed and the house is sold. Please respect our privacy, and be discreet and considerate. The purpose of this webpage is for a full historic inventory list usable by historians, family, friends, artists, insurance, and art enthusiasts. Some art (like old statues) may be listed as antiques, just as some antiques are listed as art; so be sure to check both lists. The frames shown are included in the price, but not the measurements (work height x width). Some of these were temporarily held. Many of these were given away. Most of them were sold by 2017 to clear the house for new owners interested in modernizing by the decision of Nena Stowell, despite arguments by Walton Stowell for preservation.
