2017 7th Call Area QSO Party

Results

Mike and I had a great time with only a few bumps in the road. The biggest bump was that the road from WAOKA to WAFER was closed which eliminated our activating Ferry Co. After 18 hours of operating plus an hour and half to get to the start, we made 822 Qs with 59 mults for a score of 145,494. Mike tells our story on 3830, http://www.3830scores.com/showrumor.php?arg=27a6zogqqayaK.

The Plan

Mike, N7WA, and I will drive 656 miles to activate 18 Washington and 5 Idaho counties in the 7th Call Area QSO Party on May 6 and 7 UTC. We'll use his call of N7WA. The 23 total counties will have us in all the WA counties east of the Cascade Crest plus the close by ID ones. We'll focus on 20 m CW during the day with a check of 40 m CW to catch the nearby states. Our sunset will be at 0315 UTC so as darkness falls we'll switch over to 40 and 80 CW. You can work us each time we change bands or counties. We will try to be on CW frequencies ending between 038 and 039, such as 7.0383 or 14.0386.

Here is the time line and a Washington map with our route.
