"We are tired of aristocratic explanations in Harvard words." - Dwight D. Eisenhower

As instructors, we have a duty to communicate clearly. It's criminal to create pretentiously elaborate lessons; all that's communicated to the student in those cases is "I'm the teacher and I'm SOOOO much smarter than you." No need to be that insecure.

Our duty is to create lessons that are informative, engaging and practical. We need to keep in mind that everyone operates differently; we all have unique learning styles and needs. To that end, it behooves us to cover as many bases as possible when it comes to design creation.
