Subject: Questions - Jan 27

This is the long list I told you about -- answer what you know, just leave the rest blank:

--------------------------------------

FIRST:

Q: How are the names "Koecher" and "Naegle" pronounced?

A: Koecher = Kosher, Naegle rhymes with " bagel"

INVESTIGATIVE :

Q: What's the address of the home Steven lived in, in St George?

A: 1734 Maplewood Way, St. George, UT 84790

Q: Did you take any other pictures of the neighborhood? They're interested in Evening Lights Ave, the street that the figure in the video appears to walk north on.

A: No, sorry. I will if I go again.

Q: Can you give an update (even if brief) of last weekend's trip to Las Vegas?

A: We spent a lot of time in the Ihop area. We went to the DI there, and several other stores. We looked at the abandond car wash and talked to the homeless people there. We sat at Ihop every night. (1/20 - 1/24) Every employee has a different description of this "one" guy. My family talked to LE twice. Unfortunately, I wasn't there yet, but I don't think they gave us anything new.

Q: Were you (the family) able to check the DI stores, or any other IHOPs?

A: We did check the DI near the Ihop on Flamingo, but not the others.

Q: Was the bank ever able to tell you the date and time of these purchases, which we only have bank "date posted" on?

**Tesoro Salt Lake City, Utah ? 12/14/2009 ? 7.30

**Maverik Salt Lake City, Utah ? 12/11/2009 ? 13.10

**Piolot Travel Wendover, Nevada ? 12/10/2009 ? 33.13

A: No new info there.

Q: When was the last time Steven was in Vegas before December? Who was he with? What did he do?

A: No idea.

Q: Did Steven have a particular nickname while he was online?

A: I don't think so.

Q: What was it?

Q: What was Steven's email address?

A: Naegle has furnished this information; however, I (laytonian), as the family contact, have made the decision to not divulge it publicly. There are two reasons for this: (1) Steven's email account is being externally monitored and I'm sure you understand that extraneous contacts will not help this case. I know how to check online activity, and will share whatever I find to the appropriate sources. (2) There has already been a contact from someone reading online, to a family member, that I consider inappropriate. Better safe than sorry.

I'm sorry that this may make some people unhappy, but I have the interests of this case and the family in mind. I hope you understand.

Q: Does LDS have anything like Confession that Catholics have? If (a religious leader) had talked to Steven

about something in some sort of confessional setting. As long as Steven is not found, these religious leaders

might be inclined to keep quiet. But, if they know something maybe now would be the time to spill the beans.

A: Mostly answered online by LDS websleuthers.

Q: Does anyone, besides the Police, know what the answers were from residents on Evening Lights?

A: My uncle and cousins canvased the area pretty well before LE got envolved. NCMLO also had volunteers out canvasing the neighborhood. No one reported anything.

Q: Did ALL of them really see nothing?

A: Apparently

Q: Did anyone recognize him?

A: Apparently not

Q: Are they all completely clueless?

A: Or they're just not glued to their windows. If Steven was going somewhere specific he was probably on the street for 2 minutes max. That's an easy time frame to miss.

Q: Did anyone at all seem concerned about a guy disappearing on their street? I gotta ask because this isn't an area where the residents would be distrustful of the cops. I would think the residents would tell the police everything they know. I would just like to know what they said.

A: Anyone not involved probably knows nothing. If someone is involved they are lying.

WEBB:

Q: I know we have gotten practically nowhere in a lot of our questions regarding Webb on that day. Where was he?

Q: Did he (Webb) make it to the meeting eventually or not?

Q: Was his description of the phone conversation on that day accurate? Etc. Etc. Etc.

Q: What is Webb like? More importantly, is he generally known as being conscientious and on-time OR lackdasical and late?

I still don't know the anwers to any of those questions. I do know that their conversation on Sunday lasted 2 minutes.

PERSONAL:

Q: Sleep walking. Did he ever drive before while having an episode of sleep walking?

Q: Was there an episode of violence concerning Steven's sleepwalking?

A: Answered via email by Naegle: "Someone highlighted my word choice of "clinically" when I was answering the question about Steven's possible mental issues, particularly if he was bipolar. He wasn't. Steven's about as level mood-wise as you could get."

"Also, there's been more discussion about Steven's sleepwalking incident. I just just want to clarify that it was all talk on Steven's part. Nothing violent happened that night."

Q: Did Steven have hobbies? What were his hobbies?

A: playing guitar, wake boarding, boating, camping, watching and playing sports

Q: Favorite color?

A: ...Aquamarine. How should I know?! (If anyone quotes me out of context on this I will scream)

Q: Did he still talk to people in Brazil (not everyone stays in contact w/people from their missions)?

A: IDK

Q: Did he ever talk about his dreams, ambitions, goals?

A: Generally, he wanted to have a family and be able to support them. Specifially, one goal he had was to set up a website that compiled possible answers to "What should we do tonight?" for specific cities. That was a few years ago that he talked about that though.

Q: Was he still interested in being a journalist or communications?

A: As far as I know. I don't think he would have minded some off-shoot of that career.

Q: Was he serious? A jokester? Silly? A combo?

A: If we were one on one he was sometimes serious. In a group he was always laughing. Usually, someone else is the center of attention, but then Steven quietly inserts his very funny and clever comments. His laugh is one of the things I miss the most.
