"This is designed for 11 people. It is a beautiful building located on 36 acres of land. It has three residential wings, each with 2 or 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (one handicapped accessible). The bedrooms all have large windows and lots of natural light, forest views, and access to a courtyard or balcony. There is a shared main entrance and a central kitchen, dining room, two living rooms and a porch. There is a small guest room." --Well I honestly don't know where this description came from. I'm not sure about the wings, the "forest" is mostly gone, and we never owned 36 acres. We could replant some woodlands, and there are still many trees in this neighborhood.
Kitchen
These pictures are the old kitchen 2012. Now everyone gets Kitchen cabinet & pantry shelf space, in addition to half a refrigerator in the equally large adjacent pantry. Nobody leaves dishes in the sink. Countertops are quartz.
These guys are too busy studying to advertise their vacant room, or write about their house. A very friendly home, but few there bother to attend cooperative meetings, and we learn to engineer in safety. Only Castle has a newer stove, once the brand new ceramic stovetop fractured in 2013 the new stove there now uses old style resistive coils that we afford to replace as they break.
3x 3/4 Bathrooms result in minimal competition to shower among up to 12 residents.
Communal Rooms: The large living room is a popular formal meeting room with wood floors that we use informally with storage cabinets added during Covid-19 adaptations . The basement lounge is an informal place to eat a meal. Often people grab a bite to eat at a glass table in the corner of the kitchen by the window that we open for fresh air.
Laundry Room large enough to fold cloths and sort recyclables in.
11 Private Bedrooms
Also a Quest Sleeping Closet that we occasionally use when arriving new members overlap with those leaving. Often we put spare furniture in there in a hurry to convert bedrooms to the new Members preferences.
