Coenagrion caerulescens

Recorded in 10 10km squares to the end of 2015. There were no reports since one in 1992 from the Río Turon until they were found through a survey in the northwest of the province in summer 2014.

In 2014 I managed to see the species near Archidona and also not far into Sevilla province and in 2015 I saw them on a local arroyo so they might be more widely distributed than thought. In 2016 I found a large breeding population at another local arroyo. By the end of 2019 I had seen them on 48 occasions at 11 sites.
