Anax ephippiger

Recorded in 25 10km squares to the end of 2015.

I have seen them on 14 dates at the coast in Malaga, at Fuente de Piedra ( (including a minimum of 75 on 01.03.2019) and the Campillos lagunas in spring , and in 2016 I came across two hunting in olive groves near El Burgo and another flew past while surveying at El Chorro. In July 2017 two were hawking in the Sierra de Aguas.

Succensful breeding in the province was proved for the first time when a male exuvia was collected at las lagunas del Lagar de Oliveros  on 30.06.2018
