FEDORA 11
Tested Platforms
My personal experience with this version (11) of Fedora:
Fedora 11 works much better than Fedora 10 on a Acer Aspire One (8GB SSD version). It installs out of the box, including support for the storage expansion SD card.
Fedora 11 also installed out of the box on a INSYS laptop (http://www.in-systems.com/), although I'm not sure of the model. It was one of the e.escola laptop models supplied by TMN (probably a 8761SU). This computer came pre-installed with a Linux distribuition from Caixa Mágica. OpenSUSE 11 failed booting with the Flash Card on the Turbo Boost slot. Fedora 11 was the option that worked well, out of the box.
Fedora 11 failed booting (hangs on Creating initial device nodes) on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600, after a network installation that failed to reboot, where Fedora 10 didn't. Although an installation from Live CD media of Fedora 11 succeeded, graphical capabilities were reduced to 800x600. A second network install attempt also failed to reboot, but a safe shutdown was possible by briefly pressing the on/off switch, and the system booted successfully. Same problem persisted: only 800x600. This problem was easily solved: check HERE and HERE.
