Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600

Video Resolution

Under FEDORA 11/12:

The Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 has a Trident Video Accelerator Cyber Blade XP with a LCD Display capable of 1024x768.

If your system is limited to 800x600, then:

• 1. Check if your system has the packages needed (click here).

  2. Go to System -> Administration -> Display.

  3. Enter the root password.

  4. Select the Hardware tab.

     1. Check if Video Card shows the correct one (Trident Microsystems CyberBlade/XP).

     2. Select a new Monitor Type by hitting the Configure button right to the Monitor Type.

        1. Open Generic LCD Display.

        2. Select LCD Panel 1024x768.

        3. Confirm using the OK button.

  5. Confirm using the OK button.

  6. Log out at the menu System -> Log Out (user).

  7. Log back in.
