About Fedora Project

Fedora is a widely used Linux operating system (UNIX like) distribution sponsored by Red Hat, hence the name fedora.

About Linux Distributions

Many more Linux distributions exists.

My favourites are:

  • Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com/) for desktop usage.

  • Red Hat (http://www.redhat.com/) for enterprise servers needing support.

  • CentOS (http://centos.org/) as Red Hat, but for hobbyist's servers.
