Knowledge Management

The historic basis of knowledge management, at least from information technology perspective, has been managing knowledge in a business. This is why the course has historically been an INFO course. While there is a strong technological component, our focus as a business school is the use of knowledge and less about capturing and manipulating knowledge. You can take the knowledge management course in the Faculty of Engineering if you want a tool-building orientation.

Leslie Owens, "The Future of Search" Enterprise Search Summit 2010 Keynote
