iGoogle

  1. Go to Google
  2. Click on Personalized Home
  3. Then click on (Don't have a personalized Google homepage? Get started.)
  4. Create an account
  5. Add the stuff that interests you (games, weather, movies, sports, etc.).
  6. Select a different theme for each tab and add more stuff.
  • From your iGoogle page add a new tab
  • Name this Tab School
  • Make sure not to check I'm feeling lucky. Automatically add stuff based on the tab name.
    Your School tab should include only these 7 Gadgets.
  1. Google Bookmarks must include all six.

  4. Sticky Notes: Write your Full Name, Class Name and period in this window. Change the background color.
  5. Google Slideshow: Edit this Slideshow to show you photos.
  6. Create your own gadget:  Go to the bottom of the page and click on .  Follow the directions to make your own make sure you put your name in the title.
  7. G-Mail
All other items must be in different tabs.

iGoogle Homepage requirements / Evaluation

Mr. Viereck will use the criteria listed in the Checklist to see how well completed your Personalized Homepage. Your Homepage must include everything listed in the checklist. 

Checklist

o    A Theme
o    Bookmarks http://www.google.com/bookmarks/
 o    Make the Google Homepage open when you start Firefox http://sites.google.com/site/ictessentials/
o    You must have two tabs 1. Home and 2. School.
 o    You School tab must have all 7 required GADGETS.
o    You must be able to remove and edit setting.
