[ Bob Rollings ]
Ed Jamrog sent a note on 2/22 about Bob Rolling's health. He said: Just received a message from Claire regarding Bob. He is currently in Central DuPage Hospital. According to Claire he was having trouble speaking and having headaches.
The doctors have run tests, and determined there is a tumor in his brain. The initial view is the tumor is inoperable. This was determined Friday, this is what we know at this time.
Please do not call Claire, she is understandably upset.

It Ain't Over. But getting slightly more hopeful.
Vaccine shots becoming available for old folks like us; Gail got her first shot a week ago.
Don't Be Stupid - Get a shot. Read some of what they call 'long haulers' with Covid affects long after they get over the illness. Better to totally avoid it if possible & the vaccine WORKS !

IS coming. The first early scout party of male redwing blackbirds showed up Friday morning. A sure sign of upcoming spring in northern IL.

[ Hospital Food Service ]
Spent 2 days & an overnight in the local hospital last week. Remember food service from years back ? They'd ask, you want something hot or something cold; little or no choices. Jack Ryder used to mention the more recent changes. I got an actual menu (!), 5 pages on 1/2 size sheets. Call the number on the cover, order whatever you wanted & 45 minutes later it's delivered - hot ! Next am, waited on ordering breakfast, had people coming & going non-stop. Pretty soon, a lady came by & asked 'Do you want to order breakfast?' Sure. She put the order in on her tablet & 30 minutes later, a nice hot, tasty breakfast sandwich & coffee!

[ People in Need ]
Food banks & homeless shelters are still in need of support. Got a few bucks? Invest them locally in helping out. Animal shelters, too.
Remember:
Nobody chooses:

�� to be homeless,
�� to be hungry going to bed,
�� to be hungry going to school in the morning,
�� to be short of cash to by food,
�� to not be safe on the streets,
�� to be demonized,
�� to be bullied,
�� to not afford meds.
Nobody.
