Craig Delahoy

While a relative newcomer to Crash Test Drama, Craig has been working with performers, craftspeople and technicians for much longer than he cares to remember. Starting out in network television far too long ago, Craig worked for many years in a number of roles (including sound, camera, computer graphics, composing, writing, acting, directing and producing) in feature films, television, radio and corporate video. As both a writer and director, Craig has a soft spot for comedy - especially character-based comedy and farce - though a good character drama or emotional moment will always attract him too. Even when not writing for the theatre, he often finds himself drafting or writing television or feature scripts.Never ask Craig to choose between writing and directing. He enjoys both, and for very different reasons. In writing, it is the joy of creating characters, and situations and exploring ideas. In directing, it is the joy of breathing life into the words, but mostly the fantastic collaborative creative effort that occurs between artists (writers, directors, actors, technicians, etc). While he enjoys directing his own writing, he also enjoys helping to bring other writers' work to life, and seeing what other will make of his writing.Outside of writing and directing, Craig also composes and records music (two albums currently available on iTunes and eMusic), and develops web applications. If the world was perfect, he'd be spending most of his time writing film and television scripts and short plays, writing, recording and releasing music, and enoyably flitting about on various directing jobs (usually directing his own stuff). If he had some spare time after that, he'd travel a lot.As well as Crash Test, Craig has been involved in Short & Sweet. In 2010 he was a Writer/Director, The Joy of Id, Writer/Director, Just Seven Minutes to go and Director, Securing a place by Faith de SavigneInvolvement in Crash Test Drama
