Residents of the Cattaraugus Reservation: history buffs, elders and those who have heard stories passed down over the years...

Share those stories

In 1816, known as the Cold Year, the early white settlers would have died without the help of the Native American who took children into the woods to show them roots and berries that were safe to eat so the settlers would not perish; we would like to learn these same things.

Old time cures, does anyone still know how to make these cures?

There is a book about the memories of Reservation residents and their stories of the WPA and the Thomas Indian School, do you know anyone that may have memories of their own?
