One emergency appearance for BTFC  v Gainsborough in Anglia Floodlit Trophy at end of 70/1, having been released by Kettering. Later coached at  Plymouth City (defunct) and Corby. Became painter and decorator in King's Lynn.

Son Darren played (also in goal) for Notts Forest, Wrexham, Scunthorpe, Sheffield Utd and Halifax. Grandson Joe plays rugby union for Leicester Tigers.

 Notes  Said to have understudied Ray Peacock for two seasons before playing in last few matches of 75/6.  There was no reserve team by then so where was he playing when not required? A David R Hill (b Kettering 28 Sep 53) was an apprentice keeper at Northampton and made one FL appearance for them in 70/1 before moving to Kettering, but there’s no record of his making any SL appearances there-was this the same man? There was also a keeper named Hill at Desborough in 76/7; same again?

At Ampthill by summer 83. Later managed Arlesey and Kempston.  Name sometimes spelled HULLETT or HULATT in reports, causing research problems..

Lincoln on loan 8/83, Leicester 8/89 (in exchange for Mick Kennedy and £150K cash to Leicester), Barnet 8/91, Hitchin ?summer 92 to at least 93/4. Later career badly disrupted by injuries.
