At Irthlingborough by 9/87. Later managed Northampton Spencer, 1987-2002 (becoming the longest serving UCL manager). Local press claimed that he reached 100 goals for BTFC late in 76/7, but this may include friendlies and a few competitive matches where not all scorers are known.

Notes Triallist signed 8/76 but not retained. At first described as "Best" in reports although this was clearly a nickname, presumably after George Best. Said to have spoken almost no English, correct Christian name unknown. Three appearances (all as a “used” sub) are documented but programme stats for FA Cup match v St Neots on 23/10/76 credit him with five in competitive matches to that date. Back at Bedford Utd by 11/76.
