Notes England schools international, attended Silver Jubilee School, on leaving which he joined Man Utd (pro 6/62). To Bolton 5/64, Luton 7/65, Orient 12/66, Romford summer 68, to BTFC late 68/9. Acted as pools agent while playing for club. Released summer 71. Manager BTFC in 77/8 season-had retired as a player by then but made a few appearances to cover gaps at the end of the season, included in above stats (see Managers and Coaches, 1945-82.) Also managed Dunstable (sacked 10/76), Hillingdon, [then BTFC], Barnet (twice), Maidstone, Southend, Birmingham and Peterborough, later chairman and owner of Peterborough, now (2021) director of football there. Celebrated 60 years in football with Peterborough's promotion to Championship in 2020/1. Sold by Southend to Chelsea Sept 72 for £100,000. To Cambridge Utd (free transfer) 11/78, Chelmsford 10/80 (month's trial, not retained), , Brentford summer 83, Whyteleafe by 10/86 until at least 2/87. Had a spell as caretaker manager at Wolves autumn 78.
