Bolton 1949 (£12,000 fee), then Reading (summer 50), to West Ham Jan 1951 ("substantial fee". To BTFC on free transfer summer 56, but spent most of the season injured and retired summer 57. Later kept pub in Stratford, East London, before returning to the midlands. Died in Dudley, August 2000.

PM at Rushden (from 62/3) and continued as manager after stopping playing at end of 63/4. Left Rushden early 69 and then helped with BTFC reserves.  Later manager in insurance industry.  Died 18 October 2017. Brother Mick also played for Dundalk in mid-50s.

Notes  Pro for St Johnstone summer 46,  East Fife summer 47, Stirling Jan 48. To Exeter from Stirling on free transfer summer 48, to BTFC summer 49, released summer 51.   Also employed as club groundsman while playing, and later worked as groundsman for local authority. Later managed Huntingdon (PM in 57/8), St Neots (resigned summer 71),  Eynesbury (appointed summer 72, succeeding Freddie Hall), Sharnbrook (appointed April 75),  Kempston, Wootton BC (general manager summer 78, with Alan Wright as manager) and possibly others; also several Bedford Sunday League teams and the League representative XI.  BTFC pools agent 1972, youth team manager 78-81, assistant manager 81/2.   Death registered Bedford Jan quarter 1989. Cousin of Jimmy McGuigan who played for Sunderland, Stockport, Crewe and Rochdale, mid-40s to mid-50s, later managing Crewe, Grimsby, Chesterfield, Rotherham and Stockport.

Notes  Hungarian youth international. Came to UK as refugee 1956. Name written OLOH in some early reports. Amateur while with BTFC in 57/8 (also capped for Beds),  turned pro with Northampton in summer 58, having been in UK for the then regulation two years.  To Wisbech Jan 61 (with Tommy Flynn).  To Hastings summer 62,  to Dover summer 66.  PM at Rye from late 60s, continued as manager after retiring. Settled in Hastings and died there March 2016.

Notes To Hearts from junior football 1957. Scored hat-trick for Hearts in the Edinburgh Derby v Hibs in 62/3, and won Scottish League Cup winners' medal with them in same season. Played for Yeovil on loan from Hearts while on National Service, 59/60 and 60/1 (alongside Basil Hayward).  To Oxford summer 64, to BTFC January 65. Declined terms summer 69. Returned to Canada in summer 57, later became Director of Coaching for the US Youth Soccer Association at Brigham Young University, Utah. Now lives in Vancouver.

Spent 20 years as a market trader in Liverpool where he died in Sept 2003.

Notes  Born in N Ireland but family moved to Lancashire when he was aged 9. (Belfast Telegraph 11 Sept 1950, when he was picked for an Irish FA XI v the Army but in the event was withdrawn to play for Millwall instead).  Signed pro for Blackburn Aug 47, to Millwall summer 49, to BTFC summer 55, released summer 59. At Sittingbourne 59/60 while coaching Redhill, where he lived, in midweek. Later managed Muirheads FC (Beckenham) and Redriff FC (Bermondsey). Grandfather of Rory Allen (Tottenham and Portsmouth, 1990s). Died 1980.

Notes  To Crewe from Rhyl March 58,  to Tranmere on a free transfer July 64 but released after trial to Witton early in 64/5.  To Ellesmere Port autumn 65 to end of 65/6. By 66/7 was an RAF officer, under training at RAF Henlow,  and said in Bedford press still to be on Tranmere's books but loaned to BTFC till end of 66/67-however, from Cheshire papers it seems he could not still have been on Tranmere's books after early 64/5 and he never made a FL appearance for them. Kettering 67/8.  At Stamford by 10/68 (played v BTFC in FA Cup) and 69/70 until posted elsewhere by RAF.  At Banbury 70/1, still playing in RAF football in 73.  Captained RAF football XI and while at Crewe played Minor Counties cricket for Flintshire and Denbighshire.  Died 1983.
