Jump Creek Falls

Hike into Jump Creek Falls on 15 June 2008

At the trailhead where you start hiking.

At this point the trail looks easy.

I Hear Water...there must be a creek down there somewhere.

Dan, KE7AKI, wandering around in the rocks along the trail

Interesting rocks.

At last...the waterfall on Jump Creek, all 75 feet of it.

Up there is where the water comes from.

And here is where it goes.

Dan getting ready to go fishing.

There are many rainbow trout in that pond, but they only average around 5 inches long.

Some other hikers on the opposite side of the pond (it is not a very large pool).

Upper east side of the falls.

Looking back down the canyon on the way out.

The white flowers on those bushes are Syringa. Native to Idaho, and the State Flower.
