Last of the Melniboneans

These obnoxious, honor-less, twin brothers care about nothing and no one, totally self absorbed they only live for combat with a challenging foe. One of their ancestors crafted armor and weapons for the dragon riders and these skills have been passed down for generations. Alpdruck once had a suit of melnibonean platemail but much to his sorrow he lost it to bandits shortly after leaving their family estate.

Bravery (Ex)

Starting at 2nd level, a fighter gains a +1 bonus on Will saves against fear. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 2nd.

Active Defense (Ex)

At 3rd level, a shielded fighter gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC when wielding a shield and fighting defensively, using Combat Expertise, or using total defense. This bonus increases by +1 for every four levels beyond 3rd. As a swift action, he may share this bonus with one adjacent ally, or half of the bonus (minimum +0) with all adjacent allies, until the beginning of his next turn.

This ability replaces Armor Training 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Shield Fighter (Ex)

At 5th level, a shielded fighter gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls when making a shield bash. These bonuses increase by +1 every four levels beyond 5th. With a full-attack action, a shielded fighter may alternate between using his weapon or his shield for each attack. This action does not grant additional attacks or incur penalties as two-weapon fighting does.

This ability replaces Weapon Training 1.

This ability replaces Armor Training 1.

Weapon Training (Ex)

As the fighter class feature, but the bonuses only apply when wielding two-handed melee weapons.

This ability replaces Weapon Training 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Backswing (Ex)

At 7th level, when a two-handed fighter makes a full-attack with a two-handed weapon, he adds double his Strength bonus on damage rolls for all attacks after the first.

This ability replaces Armor Training 2.

Riposte [General]

You are able to turn aside your opponent’s attack and deal your own attack.

Prerequisites: Dex 13, Int 13, base attack bonus +1, Combat Expertise, Dodge.

Benefit: If you use Combat Expertise to increase your Armor Class, the first opponent to attack and miss you for that round provokes an attack of opportunity from you.

Special: A fighter may select Riposte as one of his fighter bonus feats.
